Dr Richard Prodan

Dr. Richard Prodan recently joined Comcast in the Next Generation Access Network team to help lead the FDX access program. His previous work includes Broadcom, where he was Vice President and CTO for the company’s broadband communications group. He was a significant industry contributor in every phase of the development of DOCSIS, including the 2.0, 3.0, 3.1 and Full Duplex standards. Prior to Broadcom, Rich served as the CTO of CableLabs and worked with the FCC Advisory Committee on Advanced Television Service to develop and test HDTV systems for the U.S. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Columbia University.
