Abbie O'Dell

Abbie joined Charter Communications in 2002 as a Technical Support Representative, quickly working her way up into the role of Trainer supporting the Vancouver, WA call center. She was promoted into the role of Training Supervisor in 2008, and oversaw training for departments including Stores, Direct Sales, Dispatch and Technical Operations. During this time she also started the Virtual Training Team, specializing in providing engaging and interactive sessions for remote participants. In 2016 she was promoted into the Field Operations Regional Training Manager for Charter’s Northwest Region, which includes WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, CO, NV, and CA. In 2019 she transitioned to Senior Director of Learning Services for Field Operations, supporting organization in the development of engaging and interactive learning experiences for all Charter Field Operations team members across the company.

Abbie joined SCTE as a member of the Mid-Columbia Chapter in 2015, and transitioned to the Rocky Mountain chapter after moving to Denver. She was a featured panelist in SCTE’s L&D Experience at 2020 Cable Tec Expo, and is leading the very first L&D Committee book club, kicking off 5/14/21.

Beyond just her involvement in SCTE, Abbie is also an active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), and currently is in her second term as President of the Pacific Northwest Chapter. She currently serves Rocky Mountain members as an Associate Board Member for Professional Development, and is committed to bringing engaging and developmental content to our members!
